Students attend daily high school classes in English, social science and study skills (including critical thinking and preparation for college admission) in our classroom on the college campus. These courses are taught by high school instructors; juniors attend daily from 11:45 a.m. - 2:55 p.m. and seniors attend from 8:30 a.m. - 11:40 a.m. They take any remaining high school graduation requirements (such as science, math, world language, etc.), and/or college general education courses, from college instructors. In addition, all of our students complete a 70-hour internship related to their identified career pathway.
All students are required to complete at least six college credits per semester. It is possible, depending upon a student’s level of ability and coursework completed upon entry, to earn a year or more of college credit prior to graduation from high school.
We are delighted to have served the needs of an exceptionally diverse, creative and talented group of young people for the past five years. Nearly 80% of recent graduates were accepted to four year universities, including UCSD, UCLA, UC Berkeley,, UC Santa Cruz, UC Davis, UC Irvine, and CSU campuses including San Francisco State, Chico, Humboldt, Sonoma, San Jose, San Marcos, and San Diego State. As in the past, one-third of our graduates plan to continue at Grossmont College and transfer; all have carefully thought-out education plans .
Please feel free to contact us for more information or to schedule a visit to the campus.
