GMCHS students take a core of courses which satisfy high school graduation requirements. GMCHS Literature and Composition courses provide a broad overview of literary threads and genres, while critical thinking & college readiness courses help prepare students for success. Internships and career pathways provide students with workplace skills and foster personal growth in a real-world work environment.

In addition, students are required to take at least six college credits each semester. College courses often meet different needs: 1) they may fulfill high school graduation requirements in subjects such as math, science, world languages, the arts, or technology; or 2) courses may satisfy college general education requirements and/or preparation for major coursework; or 3) students may wish to pursue interests not available at traditional high school sites.
Students are required to meet minimum requirements in order to remain in good standing, which include:
- No "D" or "F" grade in any high school or college class
- Completion of at least 6 college units each semester
- Satisfactory conduct and effort
